In the first quarter of this year, Shanghai's container exports exceeded 1.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.4%
According to statistics released by Shanghai Customs on April 29th, the total amount of exported containers in the first quarter of this year was 1.261 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.4%.
Since the beginning of this year, the demand in the international container market has rebounded, and Shanghai's container export orders have seen a good start.
At Yangshan Port, in the first quarter of this year, Yangshan Customs, under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Customs, supervised a total of 49800 TEUs of newly manufactured containers for export, a year-on-year increase of 5.6 times. To assist in the export of newly manufactured containers, Yangshan Customs conducted on-site visits and research, collected "blockage points" in the clearance of newly manufactured container exports, integrated regulatory resources, and achieved the integration of multiple inspections such as territorial inspection, verification, and patrol. For the export territorial inspection business of new containers, it was promptly accepted, and the inspection business could be completed no later than the next day, compressing the export clearance time.
In the yard, a batch of newly built containers are neatly stacked and waiting to be put into the international shipping market. In addition to large-scale standardized production, we are also seizing business opportunities and expanding various customized products such as energy storage boxes, data center boxes, power generation boxes, hydrogen production boxes, medical shelters, and marine engineering boxes. Currently, we have gradually opened up global sales channels.
In response to the export demand for customized containers by enterprises, Wusong Customs under Shanghai Customs conducted container tax policy research based on the actual development of the industry, helping enterprises reduce burden and increase efficiency, promoting shipping companies to adjust logistics arrangements according to the needs of export enterprises, implementing convenient measures such as "appointment inspection", ensuring efficient customs clearance, and fully serving enterprises to expand the market.
According to statistics, in the first quarter of this year, Wusong Customs supervised a total of 64000 TEUs of newly manufactured containers for export, a year-on-year increase of two times.
